We love living in Florida!
The weather is warm, the sun shines, and we’re always close to some water.
Unfortunately, Florida also has ideal breeding grounds for mold and other air contaminants.
Suffering from any of these?
Potential Hazards of Poor Indoor Air
- Respiratory Issues: Coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing.
- Allergic Reactions: Sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itchy skin, headaches, and rashes.
- Mental & Emotional: Loss of sleep, mood swings, depression, memory loss, and irritability.
- Infections: Sinus and lung infections that can result in doctor visits.
While poor indoor air is not the only possible cause of these symptoms, it’s often the one nobody checks.
If you’ve noticed any of these signs and you’d like to do an air quality test, we can help.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is indoor air quality, and why is it important?
Indoor air quality is a measurement of the quality of the air inside your home. Most people don’t realize how many airborne chemicals and pathogens you’re exposed to inside your own home.
Like a fish needs water, we need air! And we thrive in good, clean air. Which is why indoor air quality is so important to your health and happiness.
How can I improve the air quality in my home?
The easiest option is to have us install one of our Breathe Easy Packages. We have systems for all major needs, like just making your home smell fresh and renewed or eliminating pet dander, allergens, and odors.
However, DIY solutions that help include regularly cleaning your home, especially carpets and upholstery. And maintaining your HVAC system by changing air filters regularly.
How often should I replace my HVAC filters?
We recommend changing your filters every 3-6 months with standard use. However, if you have pets or – surprising enough – burn candles regularly, you may need filters changed as often as every 1-2 months.
Do you offer air quality testing?
We do! In fact, we’re the Indoor Air Quality Experts at your service. To begin breathing better air, call or Text (239) 496-5355 and we’d be happy to set up an air quality consultation and test for your home.
What are the benefits of a whole-home air purification system?
Some benefits include general air quality improvement that keeps your home smelling fresh and renewed. Air purification can also eliminate the dander and dust that causes allergic reactions and pet smells for those, “I didn’t know you had a dog!” compliments.
An air purification system keeps the outdoors outside, by pulling out the pollen and dust mites to make your home a Breath Easy sanctuary. It can also remove the smells of smoking, smog, exhaust fumes, mold, and mildew for a home-transforming experience.
And at higher stages, you can even achieve hospital-level air filtration and sanitization for the immunocompromised. It’ll sanitize and kill bacteria, viruses, and other infectious germs for air you can feel safe breathing.
What types of air purifiers do you recommend?
The kind that will accomplish your air quality goals. Sorry, that doesn’t really answer your question. The problem is that there’s no one air purifier that does everything. What we mean is that it’s more important to identify what you’re trying to fix about your indoor air quality, and then what type of purifier you need becomes easy to identify.
Fortunately, we’re the Indoor Air Quality Experts at your service. We’d be happy to set up an air quality consultation to help you know what stage Breathe Easy air purifier makes the most sense for you.
Can poor indoor air quality affect my health?
Unfortunately, the answer is yes. Some potential hazards of poor indoor air include:
- Respiratory issues like coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath
- Allergic reactions like runny nose, watery eyes, itchy skin, and headaches
- Mental & emotional effects like loss of sleep, mood swings, and depression
- Sinus and lung infections that can result in doctor visits
While poor indoor air is not the only possible cause of these symptoms, it’s often the one nobody checks.
Can air duct cleaning improve my home’s air quality?
For sure! By removing all the bad stuff that might be trapped in your ducts (like pet dander, dust, mold spores, and contaminants), your home will smell fresher, you’ll breathe easier, and your home and AC will do a little happy dance of thanks for taking care of them.
How do humidity levels impact indoor air quality?
Much like Goldilocks, there are three ways humidity levels can impact indoor air quality. First, if it’s too high, that’s bad because it can contribute to the growth of mold and mildew, both of which like moisture. Second, if it’s too low, that’s bad because it increases static electricity and the potential spread of airborne viruses. Third, is when it’s juuuuuuust right (between 30-50%), you’re home is happy and you’re happy.
